Here’s how the Pigments are described on Makeup Addiction’s website:

All of our pigments are finely milled and highly pigmented. They are all-cruelty free and are never tested on animals. These pigments are talc and paraben free.
Build up your collection with a variety of beautiful pigmented shimmery, iridescent and duo chrome shades“.

Shades and Swatches

The line is composed by twelve colorful shades. I swatched them all and tried at the same time, to do some color combinations (that’s basically how i like to pair them 🙂 ). As a personal initiative, i even gave each color combination a name.

Color Combination I: Arctic

L-R: Silver Lights, Inkjet, Purest (No Flash)

L-R: Silver Lights, Inkjet and Purest (Flash)

Silver Lights: described as a “true silver black“, is a very metallic gunmetal shade. I usually pair this with Purest in the inner corner, a neutral brown on the crease and a matte black in the outer corner and looks lovely and not that heavy-looking.

Inkjet: described as an “intense metallic royal blue“, looks lovely paired with a very warm brown on the crease and Purest in the inner corner.

Purest: described as a “snow white with iridescent blue and purple” and it’s a very difficult shade to describe, since it’s very uncommon. It’s basically a perlescent stark white with irredescent blue, pink and purple. It gives that extra touch to any look and i always use it in the inner corner or in the center of eyelid. I even used it as an highlighter (i applied just a tiny bit of it) for a party and worked perfectly.

Color Combination Two: Fall

L-R: Million Dollar, Enchanted, Geisha (No Flash)

L-R: Million Dollar, Enchanted, Geisha (Flash)

Million Dollar: described as a “true metallic light gold“, is a gorgeours gold shade with a strong yellow undertone. I like it in the inner corner and inner lid, followed by Enchanted and Geisha towards the outer corner.

Enchanted: described as a “shimmery bronze“, it looks gorgeous on everybody and every eye colour, especially blue and green ones.

Geisha: described as a “shimmery burgundy red“, it’s the perfect reddish shade for fall. I use it quite often and it looks gorgeous with Million Dollar and Enchanted or alone as well.

Color Combination III: Colors of the Earth

Marbled Smoke: described as a “duochrome blue gold” and it’s another very particular shade, because it looks like a grey with warm undertones and a blue/green sheen. I love this!

Peacock: described as a “duochrome blue based green“, it’s a gorgeous teal that i love to pair with an orange brown in the crease and Million Dollar in the inner corner.

Ex Boyfriend: described as a “duochrome green brown“, it’s exactly it and it’s my absolute favourite shade! It’s a metallic warm/reddish brown with a teal sheen.

Color Combination IV: 80’s Party

French Manicure: described as an “iridescent true rose gold“, it’s a gorgeous warm rose gold with peach undertones.

Valentine: described as asoft peachy pink, it’s a lovely medium pink with cool undertones and a silver sheen. Love this for a pink and romantic eye look.

Blueberry Crumble : described as a “shimmery dark purple“, it’s a dark purple/violet with gold sparkle. It’s so pretty!

Considerations

I expected them to have a good payoff, but, after weeks of “tests”, i confirmed my first impressions and i absolutely find them gorgeous, because they’re pigmented and well performing.

You get a lot of product in the pot and it’s a great deal, considering the prices.

Shades aren’t dusty and, since they’re pigments, i recommend an eye primer, so they can stick well and they last all day long. These pigments perform even better when wet.

I use them as eyeliners too. You just have to wet the brush and it’s done! A nice alternative to my usual black liner.

The only con was the packaging, because it was a bit messy (thing that in general can happen quite easily, since we’re talking about loose powders), but Makeup Addiction has now provided the pots with sifters, so the problem is solved 🙂
