On August 12th premium lash brand House of Lashes released a new lash style called Spellbound.
Here’s how it’s described on their official website:
“Capture attention to your eyes, enthrall the masses and cast a spell with just one look thanks to our Spellbound lashes. These wispy lashes are multi layered and slightly flared to add even more lust and mystery to your eyes. Dense at the base and feathery at the ends all you need to do is bat your lashes and send all eyes towards you. If you are looking for the perfect lashes to spice up your makeup look, look no further than our Spellbound lashes!”
The Spellbound lashes are part of the premium lash collection. They provide a very nice lengthening and volumizing effect, without looking or feeling heavy on the eyes.
They’re black and they have a semi structured band that manages to maintain a good flexibility.
Lashes are indeed dense at the base and feathery at the ends. They slightly flare outwards too.
If you take a closer look, you can notice some short criss cross lashes layered to longer straight ones to even longer and wispy ones.
Look at the curve in this side view:
They elongate and volumize, but with eyes open they look like lash extensions or individual lashes.
When I first saw them, they sort of reminded me of another House Of Lashes lash style (and definitely one of my personal favorites), Temptress Wispy, so you can imagine my excitement for the Spellbound lashes.
I compared them and, even if it may seem like that they have a similar structure, the effect is totally different. While Temptress Wispy is more on the “natural” side (for its invisible band and less lash layers), with Spellbound we’re definitely more on the glam side.
With the Spellbound lashes I immediately achieve a very glamorous (but not too dramatic) effect! I LOVE them for this reason! And it amazes me to see how gorgeously they flare from the base to the ends and slightly outwards.
I wore them out a few days ago and I received a lot of compliments on them! Someone was so impressed that even asked me if they were lash extensions. She loved the effect.
It’s obvious that I’m wearing lashes, but since they’re wispy, because of their purposely imperfect effect, they provide a very flirty and almost “natural” look with eyes open. It may sound weird, but they really manage to do it, especially on eyes like mine, that have quite some space between the brows and the lashes.
And, another cool thing about them, is that the black lash band makes it look like you’re wearing eyeliner! 😉
Try them, you won’t be disappointed at all.
